This summer, North Shore Community Development Coalition (CDC) will bring over 200 volunteers around the North Shore to revitalize communities in need. Salem, Beverly, Gloucester, and Peabody will each receive a day of neighborhood beautification during these volunteer events.
Each city’s Build Days will take place on a Friday afternoon in July and August. Planned
revitalization work will feature light construction projects, such as building benches, restoring picnic tables, and building a pop-up pantry, as well as facade improvement projects like landscaping, painting, and trash cleanups.
North Shore CDC’s youth jobs programs, YouthBuild North Shore CDC and STAND, will lead the revitalization efforts along with North Shore residents, businesses, and stakeholders. Volunteers from community members to local businesses of all ages and skill sets, as well as press, are invited to join us at the following Build Day events:
● Salem - Friday, July 21st 10am – 3 pm
● Beverly - Friday, July 21st 10am – 3 pm
● Peabody - Friday, August 25th 10am – 3 pm
● Gloucester - Friday, August 25th 10am – 3 pm
