We welcome individuals, businesses, faith-based groups, social clubs, service organizations, and families and small groups of friends to get involved as volunteers at Haven From Hunger.

We welcome volunteers of all ages, but those under 14 must be accompanied by an adult.

Hours of Operation: 
FOOD PANTRY SET-UP Stock the pantry shelves and keep them stocked during pantry hours. Assist clients with select food. Hours: 9:30 to 2:30 p.m. DINING ROOM SET-UP You’ll help store perishable foods from the food pantry and set up the dining room for dinner service by moving tables and chairs and setting tables with place settings. Hours: 2:30 to 4:00 p.m. COOK DINNER (may be combined with serving dinner) You’ll prepare dinner under the guidance of Haven staff. The meal includes soup, main course, vegetable, starch, bread, salad, and dessert. You can bring food to prepare or use our food. Groups of 4 to 6 are welcome, as are individuals. Hours: 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. SERVE DINNER (May be combined with cooking dinner) You’ll plate food at the serving table and serve dinner guests at their tables. After dinner, you’ll wash dishes, clean dining room, and reset room for food-pantry service. Groups of 4 to 6 are welcome, as are individuals. HOURS: 4:45 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
