College Success Program

All services are free.

This program is for 11th and 12th graders. Students should sign up at the end of their sophomore year to be assured a seat. Students do career and college exploration, job shadowing, go on several college campus tours, get help with college applications, federal financial aid and scholarship applications. Students receive help in finding jobs and receive valuable college knowledge, career readiness and life skills to be prepared for college.

SAT help is optional.

There are also 4 parent workshops to explain the college process and financing of college.

All College Success students will be assigned a College Advisor throughout their college years.

Hours of Operation: 
Juniors meet once a week for 2.5 hours (day depends on students schedules) Seniors meet twice a week, once for 2.5 hours and once for approximately one hour (day depends on students schedules)

Students who are current Sophomores at Salem High School are strongly encouraged to apply. We have a 100% success rate in getting students into college and the money to enroll. 85% of students who finish the program and stay with a LEAP advisor while in college will graduate with a degree. Students interested in trades or unsure of the plans after high school are also welcome to attend.
