Emergency Psychiatric Services Program
Our emergency psychiatric services crisis team is available 24/7, 365 days per year. We see people at our office, as well as in their homes, schools, or other safe locations. We cover all of northeastern Massachusetts.
Our Mobile Crisis Intervention (MCI) team works with youth with serious emotional disturbances and families. The team provides emergency psychiatric assessments, makes referrals to supportive services, and is able to provide up to 7 days of crisis support. Insurance will not be a barrier to being seen by our crisis team, but does help determine what referrals can be made.
Available referrals include but are not limited to:
- Outpatient Therapy & Psychiatry
- Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)- A voluntary short-term structured day program that provides therapeutic groups, medication evaluation, and family support to youth.
- Community Based Acute Treatment (CBAT)- A voluntary short-term 24 hour residential program that provides stabilization, therapeutic interventions, medication evaluation, and family support to at-risk youth. This program allows youth to maintain ristricted access to the community during their admission.
- Inpatient Psychiatric Hospitalization- A short-term 24 hour secured hospital setting that provides stabilization, therapeutic interventions, medication evaluation, and family support to high-risk youth.
